Sherwood Gardens is a woman owned and operated wedding venue whose mission is to provide an inclusive and welcoming space for loved ones to gather among the serenity of nature.
Our unique approach is rooted in hospitality and sustainability. By only hosting a limited number of events each season we strive to provide exceptional personalized attention to our couples, as well as thoughtful, intentional care to the venue and grounds.

Kathy
Proprietor
Kathy is the sole proprietor of Sherwood Gardens. While she is the primary administrative manager, her work here is all-encompassing. Her roles include but are not limited to; gracious host, dedicated gardener and landscaper, and creative visionary, always exploring new ideas to enhance the venue and grounds
During the week you will likely find her in the gardens, ensuring gorgeous manicured grounds all season long.
On your big day she will be found personally greeting every guest with a warm welcome while she directs parking and sees that everything is off to a smooth start
Our guests regularly praise Kathy’s kindness, availability, and quick responsiveness. From your first visit to the grounds through clean up on Sunday, she will certainly make you feel like family!
“I had the opportunity of a lifetime to purchase the Sherwood Gardens estate in 2007 with the late Patricia Bromfield. The 1903 historic home and barn had gone unloved for many years and needed substantial restoration as well as revitalizing and planting of new gardens.
We got right to work with a vision:
‘to create a serene environment for all to enjoy’
It took several years of blood, sweat, and many tears to bring things back to their past grandeur. We continue to enhance the estate with its natural beauty and charm.
The development of Sherwood Gardens has been an honor and a dream come true.”
Katie
Venue Manager
Katie is our venue manager as well as resident handy-person. She helps our couples with vendor concerns and personalized floor-planning services and is ready to answer any venue-related questions as the big day approaches.
On the day-of she is present from ceremony through reception ensuring everything runs smoothly while expertly addressing any issues that may arise.
Throughout the week, if she’s not carefully cleaning the venue and executing your reception floor-plan, you will likely find her puzzling out how to get the mower back up-and-running, touching up exterior paint, or artfully updating some element of the barn’s interior.
